Life Saver Foundation has started a campaign in which we provide food to homeless and destitute people daily. We are doing this campaign for the homeless people in Hanumangarh and Sriganganagar of Rajasthan.
There are thousands of homeless people in these cities, who neither have a house to live in nor clothes to wear nor any means to feed themselves. People like them have their homes at railway stations, under the sheds of shops on footpaths and under big bridges. Where they try to escape from cold and rain. Sometimes they are thrown out from here also by the administration. These people have no other work except begging and collecting scrap from the garbage. So that it is very difficult for them to feed themselves and their families. It is a big challenge for these people to get food both daily to feed themselves and their children. Because among these people there are thousands of elderly people, children and women, for whom getting food is even more of a problem.
Therefore, Life Saver Foundation has made a beginning to provide food both times daily to these homeless people.
We do 600-700 food packing every day and Lifesaver Foundation's team delivers food packets to these homeless people. We started with 100 packets 8 months ago and have now reached 600-700 packets every day. We provide food packets to 300-350 homeless people both times a day. Many of these homeless people are sick and elderly. And is unable to even stand on his feet. So, these people are dependent only on food donations made by others to eat food. Providing healthy food to destitute people is a challenge for our team.
Till now we are running all this at our own expense. We are always short of ration to prepare food for these people. Due to shortage of ration, sometimes we have to postpone this campaign for a time or a day. And sometimes we are barely able to manage even one meal a day. Till now the campaign is running only on personal savings and pocket money of our team members.
Now we cannot step back from this because our team has become a hope for these homeless people. Because if for some reason our team fails to deliver food to these people one day then they tell us the next day that if we did not deliver food to them then they did not get food from anywhere else and they remained hungry. It is very painful for us to hear this.
Many of these people keep waiting for us. That if our team brings food then they will eat the food. And they remain worried that they may have to remain hungry today.
We are in dire need of help so that we can continue delivering food to the homeless people without stopping. If we overcome the ration shortage, we want to deliver up to 2000 food packets per day. So that we can provide food to other hungry people also, because there are many people here who need our food packets and they hope that they too get food from us today. Because we can arrange only limited packets.
Even your smallest help is important for these people. Because even your small help can prevent some people from sleeping hungry. So please help this campaign. Your help is desperately needed to keep this campaign running.
